About & Contact

Hello! I’m Nora (pronouns she/hers), a twenty year old college student studying literature and art history in the Twin Cities.

While I spend most of my time in the frozen northland that is Minnesota, I grew up just outside of Washington, D.C., in a house that is mostly filled with books, old movies, miscellaneous odds and ends, and then more books. This situation was particularly facilitated by the fact that my parents owned a bookstore, where I spent hours upon hours reading, playing with bubble wrap, and recommending books to customers. This blog originated as a way for me to continue doing that, and while it has evolved quite a bit since I began it in the 6th grade, I still love sharing my thoughts about books and the book industry with others—whether that be through reviews, lists of favorites, or various other ramblings.

When I’m not reading or writing, I am most likely studying, listening to music, or freaking out about art (often while drinking copious amounts of coffee). I can be reached at girlknowsbooks@gmail.com, and can also be found on Twitter, Tumblr, and Goodreads.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great day!

FTC Disclosure: I sometimes receive review copies from publishers. However, the reviews I publish are my own, honest opinions.  I also want you to know that this blog might help me make some money. If you click on a book title or cover you will go to a website where you can buy it! If you purchase, I will make a tiny profit.
